Yesterday, we were delighted to welcome a STEM group from Beccles High School to our Beccles site, giving students an insight into who we are and what a career in STEM could look like.

The students enjoyed a site tour, seeing live project systems in action, a robot arm demonstration led by one of our Apprentices and an exciting proof of concept presentation from our Commissioning Engineers. They also had the chance to watch one of our CNC machines at work and learn more about our business, the types of projects we deliver and the wide range of STEM career opportunities available to them. 🛠️

Our team really enjoyed taking part in the Careers Fair at Beccles High School this morning. It was a great opportunity to speak to local students and provide advice for those looking to get into engineering.

On Saturday morning, Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue kindly visited PCE headquarters to show us their brand new Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV). This new piece of equipment has successfully been purchased thanks to the kindness of the donations we have received from colleagues, family and friends this year for our Three Peaks Challenge and Annual Charity Golf Day.

It was great to meet and chat to some of the SuLSAR volunteer team, see the new ROV and hear how vital it was going to be in their search and rescue efforts going forward.

We are looking forward to continuing to work together on future fundraising projects to help keep such an important organisation going for our local community 🤝🏼

Today, on Halloween we thought we would share something a bit spooky!

There is a mysterious tale, that around 10 minutes away from PCE headquarters, there supposedly lives the spirit of a headless horseman. Once a year, he shows up with his phantom carriage at Roos Hall. Like a rocket, the runaway carriage will charge up the driveway 100 feet, before disappearing at the foot of the front door.

Upon arriving at the hall, a woman steps out of the carriage, and legend has it that if you look into her eyes, madness is certain…

Recently all 4 of our sites (Beccles, Lutterworth, Dublin and Lincolnshire) hosted a Cake Off / Coffee Morning event to raise money for the Irish Cancer Society and Macmillan Cancer Support raising a fantastic combined total of £623.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in the event, donated money and made sweet treats for everyone to enjoy! 🎂
