We really enjoyed doing this ram for a customer of ours.
It came in with a leak but they weren’t quite sure where it was coming from, a quick test and we diagnosed one of the metal pipes was leaking.
All pipes were suffering from bad corrosion so we decided the best thing to do was change all the pipes! We also cleaned up the tray the pipes sit in, gave it a good coat of paint and resealed the ram before it was returned to a happy customer!

A few pictures of a job we recently helped a customer with. The customer brought us in a leg off his cherry picker, the pin holding the ram in the leg was very ceased. We had to thermal lance the pin out. We then replaced the end on the ram and resealed the ram for him.
Made up a new pin and some bushes on the lathe for him to weld into the leg as it was badly corroded.

We are so excited to now have a thermal lance at the workshop! It’s brilliant for getting those tricky stuck pins out of rams!

Did you know we can also skim flywheels?

Thanks to our lovely big gap bed lathe we have the ability to skim most tractor sized flywheels! We’ve actually done a couple this week.

Did you know that we can make hydraulic cylinders from scratch?

Not only can we replace seals, rods, cylinders, pistons, gland caps, rod ends and hydraulic fittings but we can also make you a whole new ram if yours is beyond repair.
