Our Managing Director, Sam Tamplin, has made the final list for the ET50, recognising the 50 most influential people in Event Technology, and we’d really appreciate your support in helping him secure his place in the top 50.
Sam started TSL 20 years ago in his garage in Hove, and since then has played a key role in shaping the business into the multi-million-pound company and one of the UK’s leading lighting, rigging and rental specialists that it is today.
Over the past two decades, Sam has helped guide TSL through a constantly changing industry, championing investment in new technology and equipment, while creating opportunities for people to develop their careers within the industry. From apprentices and trainees to full-time teams, freelancers and crews, people have always been at the heart of TSL.
What started as a small business in a garage has grown into a team of almost 100 people, working on some of the biggest live events across the UK and beyond. Along the way, Sam has worked alongside an incredibly talented team across the business, from directors and managers to technicians, project teams, warehouse and office staff, who have all played their part in making TSL what it is today.
From those early days in Hove to our state of the art headquarters in Basingstoke, Sam’s passion for lighting, technical production and the people behind live events has remained at the centre of the business.
