So, moving forward for HolFor Fabrication, concentrating primarily on LR3 & 4 but applicable to other Land Rovers and other makes, we are progressing with relocating the Air tank and compressor to another location, allowing for a much stronger version of rock and tree sliders that extend to the chassis to be produced. This together with custom front and rear winch bumpers, tyre carrier, under belly protection and wider, stronger wishbones that give 3" lift front and 2.5" lift rear, keeping the original steering geometry without over extending the original air springs or changing the rod lengths. The overall plan is to fit up to 38" tyres.

Well that's the sides done, now for the arch pieces and a new piece of kit ...a tube roller. Am actually impressed thus far as it does produce very smooth bends, however I need to relocate it lower to achieve my current requirements. I underestimated the roof hight necessary for it, but live and learn. Now to make a lower mount for it on the table 👍

Wow, lots of manual effort to get this 2500 x 1250 x 10mm sheet of steel on the frame. Now to drill securing holes and i can get a garden arch for a customer under way, plus farm gates others. 👍

Having finally completed the electrics, thanks Si Maltby for your advice, in my new workshop (which I'm renting on my future mother-in-law's farm), it's now time to build my new fixture table. 2500 x 1250 x 10mm thanks to Carlisle Steel Supplies will enable larger projects to be accurately created. So during the past week we've fabricated the supports for the new mezzanine at The Bike Inn , raised the I beams, positioned and secured the joists and have nearly laid the floor, aiming for completion this coming Friday. All of this has been accomplished with the help of dedicated people and manually achieved, just pulley blocks being used for the I beams. Amazing effort all round

We have been lucky enough to qualify for SOLIDWORKS startup scheme. This means that from now on, all engineering design and proofing will be conducted using this incredible CAD design suit.
