This new 70' cruising catamaran is the first vessel combining two complementary and innovative propulsion systems: an automated, inflatable wings on retractable masts system and an electric propulsion system fitted with variable pitch propellers for hydrogeneration. The MODX series leverages 10 years of experience in technology development and implementation in the field of renewable energies, sustainability, and performances in sailing. 🇫🇷🇮🇹 Naples: where sailing, energy and the maritime economy meet

On September 27, in the Bay of Naples, MODX Catamarans joined French and Italian business leaders aboard the Albatros, on the sidelines of the 2nd preliminary regatta of the 38th America’s Cup.

Hosted by Leyton, partner of La Roche-Posay Racing Team, under the patronage of the Secrétariat général de la mer (SGMer), Business France and K-Challenge Racing & Lab, the meeting focused on two strategic topics for both countries: the maritime economy and energy.

We were honoured to exchange with Anne-Marie Descôtes, Ambassador of France to Italy, and Paul de Sinety, Consul General of France in Naples.

A natural setting to share our vision: a new way to sail, 100% electric and energy autonomous, powered by automated wings.

PROMOTING sustainable yachting ⚓

This week, MODX Catamarans took the stage at the Captain's Forum, hosted by the and its Captains' Club.

The theme: Future energy sources onboard ships and yachts.
The focus: what works now, proven and deployable solutions.

Jean Guyon, CEO of Aeroforce, shared the story of the MODX 70: 100% electric, 100% renewable energies, powered by automated and retractable Aeroforce wings, with 17,000 miles sailed since 2025.

When performance meets sustainability ⛵

MODX Catamarans is proud to be Official Supporter of the La Roche-Posay Racing Team, French challenger for the 38th America's Cup, who finished 3rd at the Preliminary Regatta in Naples. 🥉

As the team's hospitality boat, the MODX 70 welcomed guests to live the race from the front row, before stepping behind the scenes to discover the team's base and the boat up close.

Two visions of sailing, one shared passion: pushing the limits, on the water and beyond.

Cannes Yachting Festival 2026, that's a wrap.

Six days, one dock, and a lot of conversations about what the future of cruising looks like onboard a MODX vessel.

The MODX Catamarans highlights:
▪️ The unveiling of the new MODX 58 series
▪️ Our new dashboard, redesigned for intuitive and fully electric navigation.
▪️ Live demonstrations of the Aeroforce wing, which turned more than a few heads
▪️ An award for the MODX 70
▪️ A press meeting onboard, with journalists who took the time to really understand the new MODX 58 project
