Birch Pool Retreat We are an exclusive hire Carp fishing lake in the South West of France total Seclusion. With a good head of 40+ and 50lb+ Carp up to 60lb+ Current lake record.

Lodge Sleeps up to 6 kitchen, Shower, Toilet Set in the beautiful Limousin region in South West France, we nestle on the border between the Correze , Haute Vienne and Dordogne .The lakeside lodge offers comfortable Accomadation for up to 6 people and is just a few metres from the lake making it the perfect sociable family holiday fishing venue. This lake is n

ot for the novice angler. If you want quality more that quantity then this is the lake for you. Our average size fish is a tad under 40lbs. Please note this is not an easy water . Please read our rules, the safety of our Fish and our Guests are our number one priority. 1 All fish to be returned unharmed as quickly as possible. 2. Rods not to be left unattended at any time. 3 No sacking of fish at any time 4 Carp to be moved in weigh sling/cradle only. 5. Unhooking cradles provided to be used at all times. 6. Safety rigs only, no fixed rigs. No Magic Twig. 7 No braided mainlines. No lead core leaders. Only Silicone or Tungsten tubing allowed .8. Micro barb hooks only . 9. We request KORDA KliniK Product to be used on fish when needed. 10. Only particles prepared by us are allowed. 11. No nuts to be used .12. No litter, open fires or BBQs (except in BBQ area). 13. No swimming. Going in to land or to release a snagged fish is Ok . 14. Absolutely no standing up when photographing or holding a Carp.15. No bedding or cooking/kitchen equipment to leave the lodge.16. If drinking Spirits please reel your rods in, beer and wine in moderation is acceptable.17. We just ask you to be sensible and to respect the surroundings and the fish we ask all guests to drink responsibly this will add to the enjoyment of all. Absolutely no Drugs .18. We may ask to view rigs at anytime without prior notice. 19.When going out in the Boat Please use the LIFE JACKETS PROVIDED for your safety.
20. Please abide by our lake rules We Reserve the right to ask you to leave with the loss of all monies paid. 21. Absolutely no SMOKING in the lodge, outside is fine please use ashtrays provided. 22. Dogs are welcome please bag up any mess around the lake. We want you to enjoy your stay at Birch pool Retreat and enjoy some Fantastic Fishing.

Update: with this extreme Heat Vince has been chilling with Becky and the Dogs , just do some selective fishing due to conditions.
Have seen Fish moving about with some feeding so targeted them and had a Double take this morning from them spots.
Resulted in a brace of Commons at 34lb.3 and 38lb.9 falling to Bollie and Corn for both also had a Cat aswell.
Well done can't wait for this heat to cool.down

Well Vince has had a Fish already whilst I was down the lake with a nice 48lb+ Mirror falling to Single Red Fake Maggot in the Silt line.
Well done.

Update: Been a tough week as Fish Decided to Spawn on early Sat Morning and in 35c heat so Levi Sean & Neil had it tough Fish finally stopped on the Monday just after lunch.
Had some Cats upto 50lb but Carp were just chilling until finally this morning Levi had a Fish
"Peach Spot" at 39lb.11. Well done.

1 40lb Mirror.
So went down the lake this morning and The Carp had started a 2nd Spwaning this makes sense as to why they struggle as the Carp had been getting ready for today.

Update: Gary has his First Fish nice 40lb on the Nose Mirror on Snowman well done.
