SCANTECH is back from 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲 2026 with a very positive outcome.

It was a pleasure to reconnect with the battery community and feel the market moving again. New projects are appearing, some projects that had been put on hold are restarting, and the European ecosystem is clearly moving toward stronger collaboration.

We also felt growing trust in 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗿𝘀.

For SCANTECH, the feedback was very encouraging. Visitors showed strong interest in our technical solution, in the role of 𝗫-𝗿𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 for battery manufacturing, and in the need for reliable measurement directly on the line.

One key highlight was the presentation of the 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗱𝗶𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, developed with 𝗧𝗦𝗘 𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗥 𝗔𝗚

We are also preparing a dedicated video on this topic with 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗱 𝗗ö𝗹𝗹, CTO of TSE TROLLER AG, to take a closer look at the technology and its value for battery manufacturers.

Another important moment was spending time at the booth of the 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗹-𝘁𝗼-𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 with 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝘂𝗻𝗴. As members and ambassadors of the association, we are glad to support this ecosystem and exchange with people working across roll-to-roll processes, coating, converting, and advanced materials.

We were also happy to welcome familiar faces and industry friends to our booth, including a team from 𝗔𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗺𝘀.

At 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲, the discussions will focus on battery manufacturing. Coating consistency, material quality, traceability, and reliable process data are becoming essential as production continues to scale. Yesterday, our team visited a customer site specialized in 𝘀𝘆𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, together with John Adnan.

The visit was a good opportunity to better understand the production process. It also allowed us to see how SCANTECH measurement systems support quality control directly on the line.

We also received valuable feedback on our scanners in real industrial conditions.

For SCANTECH, customer visits like this are essential. They help us stay close to real production challenges. They also help us continue improving how our technologies support quality, stability, and process visibility.

SCANTECH is currently present at R2R USA Conference & Expo 2026, a highly focused event dedicated to roll-to-roll converting.

Unlike a traditional large-scale exhibition, R2R brings together experienced professionals from across the converting industry, with discussions covering battery, composites, functional film coating, lamination, flexible packaging, and other advanced applications.

The event offers a strong balance between suppliers and end users, creating valuable exchanges around real production needs, process challenges, quality control, and performance improvement.

For SCANTECH, it is a good opportunity to connect with the converting community and discuss how online measurement and control can support more stable, precise, and efficient production.

This week, SCANTECH is present at two important industry events in Asia: 𝗖𝗜𝗕𝗙 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘇𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 & 𝗥𝘂𝗯𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗸𝗼𝗸.

At 𝗖𝗜𝗕𝗙 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, the focus is on battery manufacturing, one of the most demanding and fast-moving sectors in industrial production today. The exhibition is an important opportunity to exchange with manufacturers, partners, and technical teams working across the battery value chain.

Process control, coating consistency, material quality, and traceability remain central topics as battery production continues to scale. These are exactly the areas where precise online measurement can support more stable, reliable, and efficient manufacturing. Our partner DeCoSystem is also present with the team, bringing valuable expertise around surface inspection and integrated quality control.

We were also pleased to welcome UPCELL Alliance to our booth. As partners, we share a common objective: supporting stronger industrial ecosystems and contributing to the development of more reliable battery production.

At the same time, our SCANTECH South East Asia team is present at 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 & 𝗥𝘂𝗯𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗸𝗼𝗸, meeting visitors from the plastics and rubber industries.

The team is showcasing online measurement and control solutions for film and sheet extrusion, with applications across extrusion, lamination, coating, cast film, and blown film.

Different industries, different applications, but the same priority: helping manufacturers improve process visibility, maintain quality consistency, and make better decisions directly on the line.

Both exhibitions are still running, and our teams will be pleased to continue the discussions in Shenzhen and Bangkok over the coming days.

After four intensive days in Shanghai, the feedback from our international SCANTECH team was very positive.

CHINAPLAS 2026 was active, well attended, and highly relevant for understanding the current direction of extrusion, film, sheet, packaging, and converting applications.

Based on feedback from our international team from across the world, 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁: strong visitor traffic, the growing importance of the domestic Chinese market, and increasing technical maturity across a wide range of industrial applications.

The exhibition halls remained very active throughout the show. Many exchanges involved customers, OEMs, partners, and technical decision-makers.

For SCANTECH, this created valuable opportunities to discuss real production challenges. These included process stability, quality control, cost pressure, and production flexibility.

CHINAPLAS also confirmed the growing strength of the domestic Chinese market.

Local OEMs and manufacturers continue to increase in scale, technical capability, and production quality. This creates a very dynamic and competitive environment across extrusion, film, sheet, packaging, and converting applications.

This is an important signal for the global plastics industry.

In such a dense exhibition environment, it is essential to present a clear message. It is also important to show a strong technical identity.

Our booth was designed to show SCANTECH technologies in a clear and application-oriented way. Many discussions focused on online thickness measurement, process control, blown film gauging, multilayer analysis, and integrated inspection concepts.

The show also reflected the challenges many manufacturers are facing today.

Material costs remain under pressure, and volatility continues to create complexity for processing companies. In this context, accurate online measurement plays an essential role. It gives operators better visibility, supports faster process decisions, and helps maintain stable, consistent production.

CHINAPLAS 2026 was a successful edition for SCANTECH in Shanghai. It was also an important opportunity to exchange with customers, partners, OEMs, and industry professionals from across the region.
