🔧❄️ How We Helped Chandlery Cut Down Its Soaring Energy Costs ⚡🏪
Back in 2017, when I first stepped into Chandlery Supermarket, it felt more like a warehouse of humming refrigeration units than a retail store. Each display case, chiller, and walk-in freezer had its own motor, running independently—like an orchestra with no conductor. ❌🎼
The consequences?
• Constant noise 🔊
• Frequent maintenance issues 🔧
• And worst of all… sky-high energy bills 💸⚡
It was clear: the system was outdated, inefficient, and long overdue for an upgrade.
That’s when management made the bold decision to modernize. The Chilean company I was working with at the time, INEMA, based in Santiago, was awarded the contract to install the first centralized refrigeration system in the Falkland Islands 🇫🇰❄️
Once the equipment arrived, we got to work. I was fully involved in both the installation and commissioning. We removed all the standalone units and replaced them with a centralized plant that powered the entire store’s chilled and frozen sections, one unified, efficient system ⚙️❄️⚡
We:

✅ Installed intelligent controllers 🧠
✅ Tested circuits and tuned performance for maximum efficiency
And when we finally brought the system online, the results were immediate:
• Quieter operation 🤫
• Stable, consistent cooling 🧊

Today, Chandlery enjoys reliable cooling, reduced operating costs, and a better environment for staff and shoppers alike. And I’m proud to say I was part of the team that made it happen. 💪❄️
