I've been curious about AI tools lately, so I spent some time chatting with Claude, the AI assistant made by Anthropic — and honestly, I learned a lot. Sharing it here in case it helps you too.
🤖 What is Claude?
It's an AI assistant that can help with almost anything text or file-related: answering questions, writing, coding, analyzing documents, brainstorming, and planning. It works on web, iOS, Android, and desktop, and speaks multiple languages, including Arabic.
✅ What you get on the Free plan
I expected the free version to be pretty limited, but it actually includes:
💬 Chat on all platforms
🔍 Web search for up-to-date answers
🧠 Memory across conversations
📄 File creation — Word docs, PDFs, and more, plus code ex*****on
🎨 Artifacts for interactive content and documents
🧩 Skills and connectors, like Slack and Google Workspace
🖼️ Image upload — Claude can read, describe, and analyze photos, though it can't generate new images
Not included in Free: Claude Code, Projects, Research, Claude Cowork, Claude Design, and Claude for Microsoft 365 — those need a paid plan.
💡 How to use it well
A few things that made a real difference for me:
Be specific. "Write a 200-word casual product description for X" beats "write something."
Give context — what it's for, who it's for, any constraints.
Iterate freely. Ask it to shorten, expand, or change tone — it adjusts instantly.
Upload files directly. PDFs, images, and documents can all be shared for Claude to read and work with.
🚀 My takeaway
Whether it's writing an email, debugging code, summarizing a document, or explaining something simply, Claude is a solid tool to have around — and the free plan alone covers most everyday needs.
Have you tried Claude? What's your go-to AI tool these days?
