What a moment for Marlic!
Here’s a snapshot from the moment the inventor K.E. Larsen received the DAME Design Award – Special Mention at METSTRADE 2025.

Beyond the award itself, we’ve been overwhelmed by the incredible feedback throughout the show — from leading brands, distributors, and technicians from all over the world. The amount of recognition, curiosity, and encouragement has been truly exciting.

We’re incredibly proud to announce that the Marlic Steering System has been honored with a Special Mention at the prestigious DAME Design Award 2025!

The jury highlighted our solution with the following words:
“This neat all-in-one hydraulic power steering cylinder solution features an integrated rudder position sensor, and direct plug-and-play connectivity for both autopilot and joystick control. Originally developed as a direct fit for Mercruiser sterndrives but scalable to be adapted to other systems. A good example of how integrated product design can save installation time and complication from this.”

We offer a comprehensive optimization of the boat's entire steering system, including full hydraulic power steering at the helm, and true plug & play connectivity with third-party autopilot systems.

The Marlic system also represents a streamlined alternative to expensive electro-hydraulic steering solutions, by eliminating the need for energy consuming electro-hydraulic pumps and complex software configurations.
