got into a river in Dar es Salaam to help clear plastic — but standing waist-deep in it made one thing clear: by the time waste reaches the water, it's already too late. Neighbourhoods upstream with no waste collection, have nowhere to put their rubbish.

That's the gap our door-to-door collection is closing — giving waste a place to go before it ever reaches the river.

Before pollution begins. ♻️

Plastic doesn't care who left it behind. It travels through our streets, rivers and oceans, affecting wildlife that had nothing to do with it.

So when we see it, let's choose to act. ♻️

Because we all share this planet. 🌍💙

You can always choose to act.

Translation in English:

If you want to act for cleaner oceans, make sure to look out for products that have the CleanHub logo on them.

Here is why: the CleanHub logo means that part of your purchase funds Sabira's work in a small fishing village in Kerala - collecting plastic door to door from her neighbours, which used to just end up in the river.

Every kilo collected is tracked and checked by TÜV each year.

So far, that's over 1,200 tons collected in Kerala and Bali.

Not a fix for everything. But it's real, and we're glad is in this with us. 🤝

When our team member received a wildcard to compete in the .qs Shore Temple Classic 2026 in Mahabalipuram, she saw an opportunity for the surf community to come together for something beyond the competition.

At 7:30 am on Indian Independence Day, 15–20 surfers gathered in front of for a beach cleanup and collected 236 kg of plastic in just 1.5 hours!

The collected waste was then sent to CleanHub’s collection partner for sorting and processing.

A simple reminder of what’s possible when we show up for the places we care about.

You don’t need a big movement to make a difference. Every action counts. Every person who shows up matters.

Choose to act. 💙🌊♻️

Stories like Jihan's are exactly why we do this.

Watching her grow from a kid in the School on the Beach programme to a full staff member, has been really special!

Every morning she shows up for her community, going door to door in Lihunu Village and making sure the plastic never reaches the ocean. She's 19, she's a mother, and she's one of our quiet heroes. 💙

Last Thursday we hosted a yoga event on the beach in Brighton with the amazing .

Mats out on Hove Lawns, the sun going down, and some of you legends were even brave enough for a sea swim afterwards!

Big thanks to , , , and for the event goodies, and to everyone in the community who came out. For every person who showed up, we committed to collecting 5 kg of plastic waste, meaning a total of 175 kg of plastic has now been collected 💙

The best evening! Let's do it again 🌊

We're so proud to share this one. Last week we announced Clean Nile - our first project in Egypt, in partnership with VeryNile 🇪🇬 Swipe to see what we're building 👉

Villages along the Nile have no formal waste collection. Plastic ends up in the water - devastating fish populations and the communities that depend on them. That's exactly the kind of challenge we want to help solve.

Around 200 women and men are collecting plastic directly from the river alongside their daily catch. By supplementing their incomes by 30%, we're creating a real, lasting reason to keep going. Not a one-off clean-up. A livelihood.

This is what the work looks like up close. Every piece of plastic pulled from the Nile is sorted, processed and tracked.

Every kilogram accounted for. Recyclable plastic enters the recycling supply chain. Non-recyclable plastic is co-processed. Nothing ends up back in nature.

Some of the plastic collected turns into handcrafted products - made by 30+ artisans, 80% of them women and all previously unemployed. Waste becoming work and work becoming opportunity.

And it goes further than plastic. Clean Nile brings a children's education program, healthcare training and a community kitchen to the people at the heart of this project. Because the goal was never just a cleaner river - it was a better quality of life 💙

We'll be sharing impact updates from the ground in the months ahead. Follow along - there's more to come 🙌
