We are proud to share that BENEVA, with our SATURNIN® project, has achieved 2nd place in the Prague regional round of the Company of the Year competition.

It was a pleasure to compete alongside so many interesting companies and inspiring business ideas.

We are especially happy to see how SATURNIN® has grown from an initial idea into a project with a growing European footprint and with ambitions reaching far beyond Europe.

Recognition like this confirms that we are heading in the right direction. We are looking forward to the next milestones, new partnerships and the journey ahead with SATURNIN®.

We are pleased to see SATURNIN® featured in the latest issue of Stahlreport.

The article presents our approach to the direct reuse of post-industrial sheet metal scrap and highlights our cooperation with Škoda Auto, where production scrap is already being reused for new components within the automotive supply chain.

We are happy to see material reuse gaining further attention within the European steel industry and look forward to continuing the development and expansion of SATURNIN®.

The first half of 2026 has been an amazing period for us.

Together with Škoda, we successfully implemented material re-use for three new production items. Some of them operate in a closed loop, where post-industrial scrap from Škoda Auto is reused within its own supply chain.

Others operate in an open loop, where post-industrial scrap from external sources is reused in Škoda Auto's supply chain.

We're now looking forward to the second half of the year. Together with Škoda Auto, we're already working on several more items that are expected to be launched soon, and we're excited to see the results.

A big thank you to the entire Škoda Auto team for the excellent cooperation.

How to start cooperating and become part of SATURNIN®

Lukáš Landa leads the daily operations of our first hub in Benátky nad Jizerou, Czech Republic. As Plant Manager, he oversees the entire process of transforming scrap material into valuable new input material.

He is responsible not only for keeping the hub running efficiently but also for continuously improving the processes that drive our operations forward. Lukáš has been part of the SATURNIN® project since 2019, contributing to its development from early stages to today’s operational reality.

50% of steel is scrapped during car body manufacturing.

Most of these cut-offs are immediately treated as scrap, melted down and recycled.

But not every piece of scrap needs to go back to the furnace and be melted. Many of these pieces can be effectively reused by SATURNIN®.

If SATURNIN® reused just 1% of global vehicle production scrap, it would equal 300,000 tons of primary steel that would not need to be produced.

300,000 tons saved.

Every year.

And when the reuse of steel goes hand in hand with lower input material costs, companies are not only supporting circularity, they are also improving their economics.

We had the honour of welcoming the Governor of the Central Bohemian Region, Petra Pecková, together with the Mayor of Benátky nad Jizerou, Karel Bendl and their delegation, to our SATURNIN® pilot hub in Benátky nad Jizerou.

During the visit, we introduced our concept of repurposing industrial steel scrap into high-value input material; demonstrating how “Reuse before recycle” can deliver measurable cost savings and significant CO₂ reduction for the automotive and manufacturing industries.

The delegation had the opportunity to:

- See real post-industrial scrap streams and the products that can be created from them

- Visit our cutting line and operational workflow

- Discuss upcoming technological developments and future expansion projects

The meeting concluded with an open discussion about our long-term vision and the value SATURNIN® brings to the Central Bohemian Region, ranging from advanced manufacturing and circular innovation to skilled job creation and international industrial cooperation.

Thank you for the visit and the constructive dialogue. We look forward to continued cooperation and further strengthening the region’s position in sustainable industrial innovation.
