After checking in for the race on Friday we were sitting in a taxi from the Hemingway Marina when we passed by a young group of triathletes from the distant province of Santiago. 's keen eye caught a yellow Ride to Conquer Cancer bike jersey on a young athlete that we drove by.
The jersey was donated to us last year and sent to Santiago by our friends at the National School. It was a pleasant reminder of how little gestures can have a lasting impact.

This day one week ago we arrived at the National Sport School just outside of Havana Cuba where we met up with our friends to take a walk around the home of the 1991 PanAmerican Games and hold an intimate outdoor yoga class at sunset led by Randelle Lusk
We were immediately treated to the warmth of the athletes at this unique venue with smiles and openness during this evening's practice.
