How to improve the service life of tungsten endmill?
(1) Choose cutting parameters reasonably. Cutting parameters affect the durability of endmill. If the cutting depth and feed rate are too large, the cutting force will increase and the wear of tungsten endmill will also accelerate. Therefore, we can also extend the service life of tungsten endmill by choosing reasonable cutting parameters.
(2) Improve the geometric angle of tungsten endmill. The angle and blade shape of tungsten endmill affect the change of cutting force. For example, when the rake angle increases, the chip deformation is small, the cutting is light, and the cutting force and cutting heat decrease. Under the premise of ensuring that the tungsten endmill has sufficient strength, the rake angle should be as large as possible. When the main deflection angle is reduced, the length of the flute participating in the cutting increases, so that the cutting heat is relatively dispersed, and the flute angle increases, which can reduce the cutting temperature.
(3) Grasp and adjust the optimal cutting conditions, set good cutting conditions and maintain them. Understand the cutting status of accessories through vibration analysis, and make timely adjustments to provide a good working environment for the tungsten endmill. Once the tungsten endmill is replaced, the size must be adjusted to ensure the appropriate fastener conditions and cutting conditions.
(4) Reasonable selection of milling cutter material. The workpiece material and processing conditions have a great influence on the cutting performance of tungsten endmill. When processing different materials, you must know how to choose different tools to meet the requirements of cutting processing.
