"Could you please quote me for a 10mm board?"
I hear this all the time. But honestly, I rarely give a price immediately. Instead, I always ask back: "What are you planning to do with it?"
It’s not about stalling. It’s because the usage scenario determines everything.
After years in the PVC foam board industry, I’ve realized that simply shipping products isn't the right way to do business. Helping you choose the correct board is what actually matters.
The more details you tell me—indoor or outdoor, load-bearing, carving, or thermoforming—the more precise my solution will be. I can save you so much money and headache.
If I quote without asking, I’m being irresponsible. If I send a standard board for thermoforming, it might blister. If I send low-density board for a heavy shelf, it could collapse.
Only by understanding your environment can I control the density and weather resistance for you. My expertise is here to help you avoid those invisible pitfalls.

Got a WhatsApp message from a client today. He’s developing a new product but is stuck on thickness. He told me his product needs to bear weight, but the design doesn’t allow for thick boards.
I want to help everyone avoid a common mistake many buyers make: when facing a project with load-bearing requirements, some people think "the thicker, the stronger."
However, for actual application scenarios, you can’t just look at board thickness. Density and material quality are just as important.
Simply increasing the thickness adds weight, but it often fails to prevent bending or sagging under heavy pressure. It not only increases costs but also fails to achieve the desired result. To get true rigidity and load-bearing capacity, density (g/cm³) and material quality are the key factors.
High-density PVC foam boards made with premium materials (e.g., 0.6 g/cm³ and above) have a much tighter cell structure. Even at a moderate thickness, they offer superior screw-holding strength, impact resistance, and anti-sagging performance compared to thick, low-density boards.
So, first consider your application scenario and industry. Don’t just focus on thickness; pay attention to the board’s density and material too.
If it’s for advertising and displays, medium-to-low density is enough—it’s lighter and easier to cut.
If it’s for furniture, shelving, or construction, please use high density. It effectively reduces breakage and replacements, saving you money in the long run.
Choosing the right one is far better than choosing an expensive one!
