Many customers ask us, “What is the maximum thickness this press brake can bend?”
In fact, the bending capacity does not depend on tonnage alone. It is also related to:
Material type (carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, etc.)
Sheet thickness
Die opening width (V-opening)
Bending length
For example:
When using an 80 mm V-opening lower die, this 40t/1600mm press brake can even bend 10 mm carbon steel sheets.
However, the actual bending capacity may vary depending on the material and die configuration, so we usually recommend the most suitable solution based on the customer’s specific workpiece parameters.
