I. Factors Affecting Service Life
The service life of architectural prepainted steel coils is affected by UV radiation from sunlight, ambient moisture and industrial pollutants. Its anti-corrosion performance relies on the combined protection of metal coating, pretreatment film and multi-layer paints (primer, topcoat & back coat). This composite coating system directly determines the service durability of the steel sheet.

II. Sequence of Corrosion Failure
Loss of coating gloss → Coating discoloration → Coating chalking → Coating cracking → Coating blistering → White/red rust at scratches → Edge peeling at cut ends → Large-area coating delamination → Extensive white rust & localized red rust on substrate coating → Steel sheet perforation from rust → Final steel substrate failure

III. Corrosion Protection Improvement Plans
