AK-CLEAN/WET High-pressure Felt Cleaning System
AOKAI Company pioneered the high-pressure felt cleaning system, breaking the industry limitation that the cleaning pressure for paper machine felts could not exceed 3 MPa. After years of research and practice, the system has been retrofitted on numerous paper machines in the papermaking industry. Its actual performance and advantages have far exceeded customers’ expectations, enabling its rapid wide application on a great many paper machines.
Working Principle of High-pressure Felt Cleaning System
The water after high-precision filtration is pressurized by the high-pressure pump station, distributed to the forming fabric cleaning beam through automatic control valves. The nozzles mounted on the cleaning beam move reciprocally to deliver powerful cleaning to the forming fabric.
The key to felt cleaning lies in the full pe*******on of high-pressure water through the felt. Equipped with a vacuum suction unit, high-speed air flows through the felt from the back side, drawing water and contaminants inside the felt into the vacuum box. This reduces felt abrasion and extends its service life.
Its working mechanism is as follows: high-pressure water penetrates the felt completely and creates passages for air. The contact area of air passing through the felt at high speed is several times larger than the pe*******on area of high-pressure water jet. Therefore, the system achieves greatly improved cleaning efficiency and much lower energy consumption.
The AK-CLEAN/WET high-pressure felt cleaning system is equipped with one set of high-pressure pump station, which can support one or multiple cleaning beams, and the whole equipment is centrally controlled by the main control cabinet.
High-pressure water performs penetrating cleaning on felts to restore their air permeability. At the vacuum box, air flows through the felts and generates friction to carry the dirt trapped inside the fabric into the vacuum box. This cleaning method delivers thorough cleaning results, significantly cuts the load of the vacuum system, and saves energy and power consumption.
Moreover, the required vacuum level is reduced, which lowers the friction between felts and the ceramic panels of vacuum boxes. As a result, the service life of felts can be extended by 10% to 20%.
