Troubles in nano‑emulsion preparation: oversized particle size, wide distribution, demulsification, loss of active ingredients, unstable mass‑production.

Weiss high‑pressure homogenizer adopts triple‑effect of shear, impact and cavitation to produce stable nano‑emulsions.
✅ Refine emulsion droplets to nano‑scale
✅ Prevent demulsification, no stratification after long‑term storage
✅ Tolerate high‑temperature sterilization
✅ Preserve active ingredients
✅ Consistent batch performance for R&D & mass‑scale production

Experiment Data:
Initial D90: 77 μm
After homogenization: D90 = 665 nm, reduction rate: 99.14%

Experimental procedure:

1. Prepare initial solution, pre‑treat with high‑speed shear mixer
2. Homogenize at 600 bar for 4 min circulation
3. Boost pressure to 800 bar, repeat 3 cycles

Which one to choose for PLGA‑Curcumin microspheres: microfluidizer or conventional high‑pressure homogenizer?

We conducted a side‑by‑side comparison test with identical raw materials under same parameters: 1000 bar, 2 passes.

🎯Goal: Reduce D50 below 10 μm
🔬Pre‑treatment: High‑speed shear at 7000 rpm for 5 min.

• Conventional high‑pressure homogenizer: D50 =15 μm, failed target, poor batch‑to‑batch repeatability.
• Microfluidizer: D50 =5.8 μm, well below target with excellent reproducibility in triplicate tests.

Microfluidizer delivers finer particle size, narrower distribution and superior stability for microsphere fabrication.
DM us for full test report if you are working on liposomes, PLGA microspheres or nano‑drug delivery systems.

From Agglomerates to a Controlled 0.4% SWCNT Slurry

Dispersing single-walled carbon nanotubes takes more than conventional mixing. It requires a controlled and measurable process.

In this application test, WEISS combines an RPA Pipeline High-Shear Disperser with the WH-PILOT High-Pressure Homogenizer to process a 0.4 wt% aqueous SWCNT slurry.

Key process parameters:

CMC:CNT mass ratio: 1.5:1
High-shear pretreatment: 2,950 rpm
Homogenization pressure: 800 bar
Homogenization cycles: 8
Target OD: 0.52–0.70
Target viscosity: 850–1,250 cP

Based on OD and viscosity testing, the process can be adjusted through additional high-shear treatment or continued circulation and homogenization until the target range is achieved.

The result is a more controlled process designed to reduce agglomerates and improve dispersion uniformity and long-term stability.

WEISS delivers more than equipment—we engineer repeatable dispersion processes for demanding advanced-material formulations.

A must-have device for researchers! All three core hurdles of nickel powder manufacturing solved at once!

My client needed nickel powder D90 < 2 μm, yet their raw suspension had terrible stratification and D90 up to 120 μm.
Process: High-speed shear preprocessing + Weiss high-pressure homogenizer at 1400 bar for 8 cycles.

Test result: D90 hit 1.99 μm (98.34% size reduction)!
✅ No long-term stratification
✅ Hard agglomerates fully broken without re-agglomeration
✅ Complete spherical nickel powder morphology

Powered by integrated shear, impact and cavitation effects, our homogenizer eliminates all bottlenecks in nano nickel powder preparation.
