Snibe Strengthens Healthcare Cooperation with the Turkish Ministry of Health

(Snibe) Chairman and General Manager Dr. Rao Wei, accompanied by Lucy Liu, Vice President of Snibe, led a senior delegation to Ankara, Türkiye on May 14, 2026. They held in-depth talks with Turkish Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu and other senior officials from the Turkish Ministry of Health, reaching important consensuses on practical healthcare cooperation.

We are extremely honored to share a new paper from Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (CCLM) on the Snibe small molecule sandwich reagent—the angiotensin I (Ang I) assay.

Ang I can reflects the plasma renin activity (PRA) and functional status of the renin angiotensin aldosterone system (RAAS). In traditional immunoassays, small molecules typically present limited epitope due to their compact size and steric constraints, which has long confined them to competitive detection formats. Unfortunately, this approach comes with inherent trade-offs—particularly limited sensitivity and suboptimal specificity, especially at low concentrations—while also posing challenges for automation.

To address these methodological challenges, Snibe developed a small molecule sandwich chemiluminescence assay. This study suggests that the Snibe MAGLUMI® Ang I sandwich assay exhibits excellent agreement with the LC MS/MS gold standard in both Ang I detection and derived PRA. Even at low PRA levels, the agreement remains outstanding. Please find the link to the original paper below.

We are honored to share a publication related to Snibe Biossays enzymatic assay total CO₂ measurement on Snibe C8 biochemistry system. Total carbon dioxide (TCO₂) measurement is a key diagnostic tool in clinical chemistry, routinely used to assess and monitor metabolic, respiratory disturbances, and monitoring the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.

The enzymatic assays are compatible with automated biochemical analyzers and allow for high-throughput, rapid, and accurate measurements, making them well-suited for routine clinical use, but still face the challenge of reagent instability due to the abundance of CO₂ in the air once the reagent opened. The Snibe Biossays CO₂ enzymatic reagent addresses this via optimized reagent system that is more resistant to ambient CO₂.

This study demonstrates that the Snibe Biossays CO₂ assay demonstrated superior stability and precision, maintaining accuracy for 42 days without recalibration, with lower deviations from target values compared to the Roche CO₂ reagent. Laboratories should establish protocols to minimize errors and ensure reliable acid-base assessment in clinical practice.
