H13-Die steel is used in the manufacture of large impact load dies, hot extrusion dies, precision forging dies; aluminum die-casting dies.
Good wear resistance and heat resistance, good strength and hardness at high temperature, high wear resistance and toughness, excellent comprehensive mechanical properties and high tempering stability.
General delivery condition: Annealed, 245～205HB,
Quenching + secondary tempering ≥ 50HRC,
Oil quenching at 1030°C, tempering at 565°C, hardness about 49--52HRC, secondary tempering at 580°C, hardness about 47--50HRC, tensile strength about 1400--1500MPa (workpiece φ900x300, with a cavity with a simple shape)
When used at a temperature of 450--500℃, the yield strength is about 1100MPa.
