🤖 Yaskawa Robot Origin Position Creation Method
The origin position creation screen is only available when the safety mode is set to Management Mode.

🌟 If the origin position data is already known (usually the data label attached inside the controller door), you can directly register the origin position in [Robot] → [Origin Position] and reset the absolute values.

🌟 If the absolute value data is unknown, please follow the steps below:
Select [Robot] from the main menu.
The submenu will be displayed.
Select [Origin Position].
Select the control axis group.
The origin setting method for external axes is the same as for the robot itself.
You can select the target control axis group through [Display] in the upper menu bar.
Register each axis individually.
Use the axis operation keys in Joint Coordinate Mode to align the origin mark of the axis, as indicated by the red arrow in the figure below.
Move the cursor to the target axis and select it. A confirmation dialog box will appear.
Select “Yes”.
The current value of each axis will be registered as the origin data.
Repeat the same procedure for the remaining axis.

Yaskawa Robot Home Position Overview 🤖
Home position calibration is the process of matching the robot position with the encoder position.

The home position is calibrated before the robot leaves the factory. However, recalibration is required in the following situations:
1. Replacing the robot and controller (YRC1000) combination
2. Replacing the motor or encoder
3. Memory data loss (such as AIF01-1E board replacement or battery depletion)
4. Robot collision causing home position deviation

Use the axis operation keys to adjust the robot posture so that the reference marks of each axis are aligned, then create the home position.

Yaskawa Robot Error Analysis & Solution — 0340 “Main Program Ex*****on Prohibited by Setting”

When the Yaskawa robot teach pendant displays:
0340: “Main Program Ex*****on Prohibited by Setting”
Cause of the Error
In Play Mode, robots are typically started using the reservation start function or the teach pendant start button.
During this process, program selection is generally not changed from the teach pendant.

This alarm usually occurs when:
No program has been selected as the main program before startup
The operator attempts to call the main program directly from:
[Program Content] → [Main Program]
without switching the robot mode
Solution

First, press the [Cancel] button in the alarm window to reset the alarm.
Then, there are two possible solutions:
Method 1
Switch the teach pendant to Teach Mode
Select the main program under:
[Program Content] → [Main Program]
Then switch back to Play Mode
Method 2
Switch the teach pendant to Teach Mode
Go to:
[Setup] → [Backstep Condition Setting] → [Play Mode Main Program Call]
Change the setting to: [Allow]
Tips
If the settings mentioned above are not visible, please switch the system mode to:
Safety Mode, or
Management Mode

The home position setting screen is only available when the system is inSafety Mode: Management Mode.
If the home position data is already known (usually labeled inside the controller cabinet door), you can directly input it under:
[Robot] → [Home Position]to restore the absolute data.

If the absolute data is unknown, follow these steps:
1. Select [Robot] from the main menu
2. The submenu will be displayed
3. Select [Home Position]
4. Select the control axis group
5. External axes can be set in the same way. Use the [Display] option in the top menu to select the target axis group
• Register each axis individually Use the axis operation keys injoint coordinate modeto align the axis reference marks
• Move the cursor to the target axis and select it to display the confirmation dialog
Select“Yes”
– The current value of the axis will be registered as the home position data
– Repeat the same procedure for the remaining axes
