The key figure is loaded tongue weight.

Trailer weight is the total loaded weight of the trailer, while tongue weight is the vertical load applied at the coupler. The jack’s rated lifting capacity should therefore meet or exceed the maximum loaded tongue weight—not the total trailer weight.
