In short: โ 4-axis: backgauge X + R (in/out + height) โ handles most standard parts โ 6+1-axis: adds W (ram depth) + Z1/Z2 (front/back gauge fingers) โ handles complex tapered and multi-step parts
The 63T2500 runs 6+1 as standard. Most competitors at this price point offer 4+1.
