The CCMA Microwave Ablation Master Class recently brought together numerous participants for two days of learning, discussion, and hands-on practice.

Participants further strengthened their microwave ablation skills, supporting the advancement of minimally invasive practice in the region.

We are pleased to share the successful conclusion of the CCMA Thyroid Microwave Ablation Workshop in Rabat, Morocco, held in collaboration with the Société Marocaine d’Endocrinologie, Diabétologie et Nutrition (Smedian).

A sincere thank you to our distinguished course directors, Prof. Fouad Rkiouak of the Morocco CCMA base and Dr. Eveline Slotema of the Marseille, France CCMA base, whose expertise and experience created a valuable platform for international academic exchange and learning.

Throughout the workshop, participants engaged in discussions on thyroid microwave ablation and gained practical insights from the faculty.

Following the successful Uterine Microwave Ablation Workshop held in Türkiye earlier this month, we were pleased to return with a CCMA-led Comprehensive Microwave Ablation Workshop covering a broader range of clinical applications.

This workshop featured training in:
• Parathyroid and thyroid ablation
• Laparoscopic ablation
• Liver ablation
• Osteoid osteoma ablation
• Kidney ablation

A sincere thank you to our course director Dr. Isa Çam for the excellent teaching and continuous academic support.

We also greatly appreciate the participation of four doctors from Saudi Arabia, Serbia, and Jordan, whose enthusiasm made the training highly interactive and meaningful.

Special thanks to our local partner MEDEL TIP and all others involved for their strong on-site coordination, support, and collaboration.

🚀 Breaking new ground in Central Asia!

We are proud to celebrate the successful launch of the 1st CCMA Training Center in Central Asia and the completion of its 1st Thyroid Microwave Ablation Workshop in Kazakhstan.

5️⃣ participants from Russia and Ukraine joined the program, engaging in meaningful international academic exchange and practical skill development.

👏 Over the course of just two days, Course Director Dr. Niyaz Malayev, Chairman of the Kazakhstan Society of Interventional Oncoradiologists, performed 8️⃣ ultrasound-guided thyroid microwave ablation procedures as live demonstrations for participants, covering a variety of clinical scenarios, including a retrosternal goiter, previously embolized thyroid nodules, a repeat microwave ablation procedure, and colloid nodules. As the 1st CCMA training initiative in Central Asia, the program marks an important step toward raising awareness of microwave ablation and expanding its adoption across the region and beyond.

We are delighted to share the successful completion of the ECO Laparoscopic Microwave Ablation for Uterine Fibroids Workshop in Türkiye last week.

Across two days of lectures, live case demonstrations, and hands-on training, participants explored the latest clinical applications of microwave ablation in the treatment of uterine fibroids and adenomyosis.
