1. What a Single-Shaft Shredder Is

A single-shaft shredder has one rotating shaft equipped with cutting blades, often paired with a stationary counter knife or screen. Materials are fed into the hopper, and the rotating shaft shears, tears, or slices them. Unlike twin-shaft shredders, which excel at high-torque tearing of bulky materials, single-shaft shredders are better for controlled, uniform particle size reduction.
