Wintech Mold from Order to Shipment Process
The creation of a qualified mold requires multiple rigorous processes, including demand analysis, solution design, processing and manufacturing, mold trial verification, and delivery. Each step directly affects the mold quality and the final product molding effect. Below, we will introduce the complete ordering process for Wintech molds:
1. Customer Order and Demand Confirmation
Upon receiving a customer order, the technical team reviews the product drawings, samples, production requirements, materials, and output, conducts a Design for Product Development (DFM) to assess project feasibility, clarifies mold specifications and delivery timelines, finalizes cooperation details, and officially launches the mold project.
2. Mold Solution and Structural Design
Based on the customer's product data, mold design work is carried out, completing the structural planning for parting lines, gates, cooling systems, and ejection systems, and outputting 2D assembly drawings and 3D mold models. The design solution is simultaneously confirmed with the customer, and after confirmation, the manufacturing phase begins.
3. Raw Material Procurement and Preparation
According to the design drawings, mold steel and standard accessories are selected, and mold plates, guide pillars and bushings, springs, inserts, and other materials are procured. The steel is inspected to ensure that the material hardness and performance meet production conditions, completing material preparation.
4. Mold Machining and Manufacturing
This involves machining mold components, including roughing of steel, CNC milling, EDM, wire cutting, drilling and tapping, grinding and polishing, etc. Core components such as the mold core, mold base, slider, and inserts are machined, achieving precision machining for each part.
5. Mold Assembly
All machined components are assembled using a fitter's technique. Components such as the mold core, slider, ejector mechanism, and cooling pipes are assembled and installed. The clearances between components are adjusted, and the smoothness of the moving parts is checked, completing the final mold assembly.
6. Trial Molding, Debugging, and Optimization
After assembly, the mold is tested on the injection molding machine to produce sample parts. The dimensions, appearance, and structure of the samples are checked to ensure they meet customer standards. For issues such as flash, shrinkage, and dimensional deviations, the mold is repaired, ground, and adjusted. Repeated trial molding is conducted until the sample fully meets the customer's technical requirements.
7. Mold Inspection and Testing
After sample confirmation, a comprehensive final inspection of the entire mold is conducted: checking the mold opening and closing motion, cooling water channels, clamping structure, and the integrity of accessories; verifying mold drawing parameters; identifying potential fault points; and performing rust prevention treatment.
8. Packaging and Delivery
After the mold passes inspection, mold drawings, accessory lists, user manuals, and other supporting documents are prepared. Rust prevention measures are taken, the mold is packaged, and logistics are arranged for delivery to the customer. Simultaneously, technical support related to the subsequent use and maintenance of the mold is provided.
