In this episode, BORCHE reveals the core technology behind the BU7200-V — our first 7200-ton ultra-large two-platen intelligent IMM.

• Suitable for aerospace, automotive, energy, and infrastructure components
• BORCHE’s patented automatic tie-bar removal for safer, easier mold installation

• Dual injection-movement cylinders for improved alignment and balance

Built for ultra-large, thick-walled, and complex parts, the BU7200-V sets a new standard for ultra-large intelligent injection molding machines.

How do you assemble a machine with components weighing more than 100 tons?

In Episode 3 of BORCHE’s BU7200-V series, we reveal the final assembly of our 7200T ultra-large two-platen IMM — the largest machine ever built in BORCHE’s history.

Key challenges included:
• Hoisting and aligning 110-ton platens
• Achieving perfect frame levelness
• Calibrating 130 individual support shims
• Ensuring millimeter-level precision across massive structures

After multiple simulations and detailed planning, BORCHE successfully completed the one-time assembly of this giant machine.

Delivered to Taizhou Hesheng Plastics on October 13, 2025, the BU7200-V not only represents a technical breakthrough but also enables customers to overcome bottlenecks in molding large, thick-walled, complex components — significantly improving efficiency and reducing operational costs.

From extreme hoisting to micrometer precision, BORCHE continues to push the boundaries of intelligent injection molding equipment.

How do you machine a component that weighs more than 100 tons?

In Episode 2 of our BU7200-V series, BORCHE reveals the machining challenges behind our 7200T ultra-large two-platen IMM:

• Fixed platen: 12 days machining
• Moving platen: 18 days machining
• 9–11 re-clamping cycles
• 0.05 mm precision required across massive surfaces

Despite equipment limitations, our team completed the task through innovation, redesign, and strict process control.

BORCHE has delivered its first 7200-ton BU7200-V two-platen intelligent IMM, a landmark project showcasing our capability in ultra-large injection molding technology.

From 100-ton platens to 12-meter tie bars, every component required extreme precision and innovation.
Our engineering teams optimized casting, machining, modular assembly, hoisting plans, and process control — achieving a highly stable and perfectly aligned ultra-large IMM.
