We are pleased to welcome the SmartGap Touch from Wink to the Gallus Experience Center in St. Gallen, now showcased on the Gallus Labelmaster 440 RDC Top (top‑load die‑cutter). Together with the SmartGap Advance, which is already running on the RDC Quick (front‑load die‑cutting unit) of the Gallus Five in our demo hall, both SmartGap variants from Wink are now available for live demonstrations.

The SmartGap Touch is the digital evolution of the SmartGap Advance and has been successfully used in the market for several years. It offers precise, repeatable gap adjustment, QR‑code presets, and job data storage, helping to reduce setup times, minimize errors, and ensure consistently high die‑cutting quality. Its digital interface also supports future automation and digitalization processes - ideal for frequent job changes, demanding label applications, and the processing of thin liners (e.g., 23µ PET).

40 years of Gallus Rotascreen!

Last Saturday, the Gallus Screeny team in Herisau celebrated this milestone together with current and former colleagues joined by special guests, Heinz Brocker, Martin Lehner, Ferdinand Rüesch and his wife Karin Rüesch at Lake Constance.

Gallus Rotascreen made its world premiere in 1984 at FESPA Amsterdam, marking the start of in‑house rotary screen printing integration for narrow‑web label production. In 1986, the first manufacturing systems were installed, enabling the initial deliveries to customers and since 2007, production moved to Herisau, where Gallus Screeny continues to be developed and manufactured with the same passion, precision, and commitment to quality.

A major highlight in Gallus Screeny’s journey came in 2025 with the launch of the new screen‑printing unit that can be ideally integrated into various working environments, bringing enhanced precision, faster setup, and improved handling .

In the group photo, an impressive 299 years of combined Gallus Screeny experience were represented including four team members with more than 40 years of Gallus Screeny experience each.

Yesterday, we had the honour of hosting the 74th Annual General Meeting of Ugra at the Gallus Experience Center in St. Gallen. We would like to sincerely thank Ugra for choosing Gallus as the host for this special event.

Following the official program, participants gained deeper insights into our Gallus solutions and joined a guided tour through our company. The event concluded with an Apéro, where the guests enjoyed engaging discussions and valuable networking opportunities.

We also had a special furry visitor join us for the occasion - take a look at the pictures to see who stopped by.

It was a pleasure to welcome Ugra and all attendees to Gallus. We look forward to continued exchange, collaboration, and future opportunities to connect.

The past two days, we had the pleasure of welcoming a delegation from Heidelberg India to the Gallus Experience Center in St. Gallen. Ten selected team members accompanied by Samir Patkar, President of Heidelberg India visited us as part of a development program for upcoming business and technology drivers in their respective fields.

During their stay, they gained deeper insights into Gallus, our technologies, and all key departments across the company. The goal of their visit was to strengthen know‑how transfer and support further development within their areas of responsibility.

Today, the group continues their journey to HEIDELBERG headquarters in Wiesloch, where they will spend the next few days gathering additional inspiration and ideas.

It was a pleasure having you with us. We hope your time at Gallus was inspiring, insightful, and filled with valuable takeaways. We look forward to continuing our close collaboration.

How do you guarantee the same color quality run after run?

In label printing, color quality has two dimensions that both matter equally: consistency within a print run, and reproducibility across runs. The Gallus One and Gallus Five are engineered to deliver on both.

At the core is a systematic, guided recalibration workflow powered by Prinect, that ensures the press is within specification before production begins:
• Ensuring color consistency: A predefined color chart is regularly printed and benchmarked against a reference standard
• Ink density variations are kept to a minimum by design, minimize the risk of visible color drift during production
• Any deviation is identified and compensated automatically, keeping color output stable and within tolerance

This follows a clear principle: establish the correct foundation before producing. Verify first, then run.

We were delighted to welcome our long-standing customer HubLabels from the U.S. to our facility last week. We had great discussions, exchanged valuable ideas, and further strengthened the strong relationship we’ve built over the years.

Six sessions, technicians from around the world and one goal: reliable service for our customers.

Over the past four weeks, six service training sessions hosted by Gallus took place at the Gallus Experience Center in St. Gallen, Switzerland - helping ensure our customers continue to benefit from exceptional support for their machines.

These sessions brought together HEIDELBERG and Gallus service technicians from around the world, strengthening their expertise on the Gallus Labelmaster platform. In total, three basic and three advanced courses were conducted.

A big thank‑you to our dedicated training team for sharing their knowledge and elevating service quality across our global network.

Tight registration, clean gradients, brilliant colors - we recently produced the Birdie Rum label on the Gallus Labelmaster 440 at the Gallus Experience Center: white underlay, gold cold foil, 4-color printing, gold flexo ink, Gallus Blue as spot colour. Every detail fully exposed, every parameter exactly right.
