There's something special about creating something from scratch with your own mind and hands.

We have come a long way in the kind of work we are doing. No AI, no bought files. I have spent years improving my skills to be able to produce the kind of art I do - and I am proud of it. To me, thats art worth signing.

But of course I couldnt take a sharpie to metal 😂 so I made an itty bitty version of our logo to add to some of our bigger art pieces.

So when you see this icon... know it's carefully made with love by me - from scratch.

Thank you for the support that allows me to keep doing what I love 🫶

The teeth on this gear had seen better days. We built them back up, machined them down, and finished with some grinding to get it back into working shape.

A little more involved than your average repair, but James loves the precision of machining.

Orange is for Stubby's Welding 🧡

Well… that’s a bit straighter.

This auger came in with a pretty good bend in it. Rather than trying to convince bent steel that it wasn’t bent, we cut out the damaged section, replaced it, and got everything lined back up where it belongs.

Bent to straight. Back to work.

A lot of the stuff that comes through our shop is like this.. broken enough to be a problem, but not necessarily broken enough to replace.

And since our posts seem to be wandering halfway around the world lately 😂 we’re Stubby’s Welding, located between Wroxton and Churchbridge, Saskatchewan. 🇨🇦

Farm equipment, weird repairs, and whatever other broken s**t shows up.

Its auger repair season around here... with 4 in line for repairs.

We are fixing the hole-y trough and straightening the first auger.

We were asked to make a custom metal wedding gift for a special couple who loves the outdoors 🌲🏔

This metal sign features a mountain background frame with some trees and two people overlooking the view that resemble the couple.

I have been impatiently waiting to share this with the world until the couple received their gift... so here it is 🥰

James blind reacts to a custom wrench project we finished up while he was out of the shop...

TLDR: "Thats heavy" 😂

Farmer needed a custom wrench for his disk to tighten the gangs, so we built him one!

Sometimes you just gotta use grinder sound effects to get the point across that I think he is happy how the custom wrench turned out 😅

On today's episode of WILL IT FIT (on the plasma table)?

Did I tripple check the measurements? Yes. Did I move the zero 6 times? Yes. Did I plot 8 points along that curve to make sure we are still on the material? Yes. Was I still surprised it fit? Also yes 😂

Forgot the shaft in the lathe because I was too busy admiring my greatest achievement of the day. Had to go back for it ...
