Where are your memories hiding?
In a TV cabinet?
Tucked in a closet or drawer?
Stored under a bed… or somewhere you can’t quite remember?

Old media: slides, VHS tapes, photo negatives, film reels, often sit quietly for years, holding moments we haven’t seen in decades.
What many people don’t realize is that VHS tapes weren’t designed to last forever. Over time, they naturally lose quality, sometimes significantly, even when stored carefully. While keeping them in a cool, dry space away from sunlight can help slow that process, deterioration is still inevitable.
Digitizing your tapes is the most reliable way to preserve those memories and make them easy to enjoy again.

I didn’t always trust the cloud. In fact, I was deeply skeptical.

Years ago, I started uploading historical family photos to Facebook so cousins could access them. It felt practical and easy, until I read the Terms and Conditions. That’s when I realized I was granting Meta a licence to use my photos. That didn’t sit well with me. So I stopped.

Around 2012, I opened an account with a service called Linea. Have you heard of it? Most people haven’t. Linea wasn’t financially viable. As a test, I uploaded 25 family history photos. By 2014, Linea was gone.

That experience changed how I evaluate every photo platform I see. Good intentions aren’t enough. Nice features aren’t enough. Longevity matters.

So when I first heard about FOREVER, I didn’t jump in. I read the Terms and Conditions. I studied the business model. I paid close attention to the Guarantee Fund. Only then did I trust my own family history and memories to it.

I’ve seen platforms come and go.

I’ve read the fine print.

I believe our memories deserve better than hope.
