A1 Driveline is a locally owned Driveline and Repair Shop in Grande Prairie, AB. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Powertrain Parts Person to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for dealing the procurement and inventory of parts necessary for our operations. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical parts knowledge in Heavy Duty/Light Duty Powertrain related industry and have experience in sourcing parts and knowledge to meet the demand of customers. Experience with Transmissions, differentials, PTO parts is a huge asset.
Full-Time Position
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct friendly communication and service to all customers.
- Always be presentable and maintain a professional attitude.
- Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for tracking inventory and parts usage.
- Perform data entry tasks related to inventory management and procurement processes.
- Collaborate with team members to fabricate or source specialized parts as needed.
- Help assist shipping to maintain an organized parts room, ensuring all items are labeled and stored correctly.
- Assist in the development of sourcing strategies to optimize costs and supplier relationships.
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience in a powertrain parts or similar role is preferred.
- Strong mechanical parts knowledge, particularly related to Heavy Duty/Light Duty truck powertrain , is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to effectively source and procure parts from various suppliers.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing inventory levels.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
