Introducing Scotia Slate.

Scotia Stone is now Scotia Slate—a new name that better reflects who we are and the natural material at the heart of everything we create.

Our name has changed, but our commitment has not. You can expect the same premium natural slate, the same handcrafted quality and the same focus on creating beautiful, durable products built to last for generations.

Quarried and fabricated in Nova Scotia since 1855, Scotia Slate is ready for its next chapter—and we’re excited to have you with us.

Welcome to Scotia Slate.

Trick question! Every piece of slate is unique.

No two pieces of slate have the exact same texture, pattern, or colour, what you’re getting is completely natural and completely unique. It’s one of the things we love most about working with slate.

Spring’s here, and so are we!
With the season kicking off and lots of new connections coming in, we thought it was a great time to reintroduce ourselves.
Scotia Stone is a Nova Scotia-based slate quarry, proudly quarrying natural slate since the late ’90s.
From random flagstone to square cut pavers, wall stone, and interior tile, we provide durable, all natural materials built to last in Canadian conditions. Trusted by contractors, landscapers, and homeowners.
Spring orders are now open and processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Get in touch to secure your stone for the season.
If you’re working on something this season (big or small), we’d love to be part of it.
