How many juice boxes does it take to get ready for back-to-school season?

Apparently, 322.

Yes, we counted the juice boxes too. 😂

That’s how many our Calgary team collected during our Back-to-School Donation Drive for Mamas for Mamas.

Add in backpacks, notebooks, pencils, crayons, snacks, lunch bags and a LOT more, and our little friendly department competition turned into something pretty amazing.

The final count?

4,206 individual items donated. ❤️

Welder Service may have earned the bragging rights, but our entire Calgary team helped make it happen.

Thank you to everyone who donated and helped us give back to families in our community.

Throwback to 2012 and a crane install that required a little creativity 👏

Kristian supplied this rural Alberta facility with two custom overhead cranes for a new building project.

The problem? There was not enough headroom inside the building to install the crane using a conventional mobile crane setup.

So we worked with the general contractor to leave a section of the roof open, allowing our team to position a mobile crane outside and carefully lift the girder into place through the opening.

Not every installation follows the standard playbook. Sometimes experience, planning, and a bit of problem-solving make all the difference.

Think the setup was the most important part? Here's the real test. ⚡

Before this Hypertherm Powermax105 leaves our shop, every function is put to the test. We power it up, verify everything is operating correctly, and make a few test cuts to ensure it's performing exactly as it should.

It's the final step before delivery and one more way we make sure your machine is ready to get to work from day one.

Because when you buy from Kristian Electric, you deserve more than a machine. You deserve the confidence that it's been tested and is ready to perform.

Throwback to 1993 and a familiar sight from Kristian Electric history 👏

Before service trucks took over the fleet, the GMC Vandura vans put in the work.

They hauled welders, hoists, tools, parts, and technicians from the shop to the field for years, helping keep our customers up and running.

As our company grew, we gradually made the switch to service trucks to carry more tools, more parts, and better support our field teams.

But these old vans will always have a place in the Kristian memory book.

I mean... they did look pretty snazzy 😎

Some people collect vintage cars. Some collect comics.

Around here... we appreciate vintage welders 👏

Flashback to 2018 when this beautiful white Lincoln Electric SA-200 rolled into our Edmonton shop for a tune-up.

We’re thinking it’s an early 1970s model, and it definitely turned a few heads around the shop. White welders and industrial work environments usually don't go hand in hand.

The old machines have a lot of history behind them, and when they’ve been looked after this well, they deserve some appreciation.
