Now we can identify each other on the road, in the parking lot, on your neighbourhood street, etc.

We are very sorry to announce the passing of our friend Helge Alexander Nielsen, on September 21st.

Helge was well known, and well liked amongst the Saab and Danish communities since his arrival in Richmond, BC in 1964. Known as “The Great Dane” amongst his friends, Helge began selling SAABs amongst other marques at his dealership, Castor Motors, from the mid ’70’s up until 1990.

His legacy of SAAB enthusiasm has had a continued impact here in British Columbia, where many of his former clients and now friends still drive SAABs of all vintage. His former inventory of rare parts and accessories, still contains some of the only brand new, OEM SAAB packages of parts from that era.

He will be missed.
