We offer a more environmentally friendly alternative to the burning or dumping of the wood products created when clearing land for new development or restructuring sites. As development growth on our Island is increasing the need for clearing land and removing logs and stumps is increasing. Once ground the material (stumps, logs, brush etc) we create is recycled into compost and bark mulch product

s. This is ultimately helping divert many products away from our landfills sites and reducing the amount material often left on site. We are an owner operated grinding and excavating business serving all of Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. Our specialized heavy equipment, combined with over 40 years of experience in the heavy equipment industry and a lifetime spent here on Vancouver Island gives us the knowledge and understanding we need to offer the best possible service to all our customers. We can provide onsite or offsite grinding of land clearing and construction debris, and removal of ground material. We also do rock breaking, excavation, site preparation and backfilling. BMT Grinding & Excavating Ltd is fully insured and offers contract or hourly rates to best suit each job situation. Our tub grinder is one of the biggest, most efficient grinders on Vancouver Island. It makes “mince meat” of logs, stumps, and construction debris. It is a fast and effective way to create a reusable product. Creating more reusable, recycled products means less negative impact on our precious environment.
