Great weather, great people, and plenty of great conversations.

Last week, we had the opportunity to attend the MSCI BC Chapter Golf Tournament at Northview Golf & Country Club, connecting with customers, industry partners, and suppliers from across BC's steel and metals industry.

As the Headline Sponsor of the putting competition, we were proud to support an event that helps fund scholarship opportunities through the Metals Service Center Institute while strengthening relationships throughout the industry.

From the putting green to the post-round networking, the day was filled with valuable conversations, new connections, and a few familiar faces. Events like these are a great reminder that strong partnerships are built both on and off the job site.

Thank you to Zach Leverington, Luke O'Brien, Shaun Groves, Dean Gregg, and Christina Jensen for helping make the day a success, and to the MSCI BC Chapter for organizing another fantastic tournament.

Together, we lift our world and everything in it.

Leavitt Machinery was honoured to support this year's Fort McMurray Brain Tumour Walk, with funds raised helping advance critical brain tumour research across Canada.

The event brought together survivors, families, caregivers, supporters, and community members in support of those affected by brain tumours and the ongoing search for better treatments and outcomes.

We were especially proud to walk alongside Fort McMurray Field Technician Chris Barbosa and his wife Lasha, whose strength and positivity continue to inspire those around her. ๐Ÿ’›

Thank you to Kirby Byrne, the Fort McMurray team, their families, and everyone who participated, volunteered, donated, or cheered from the sidelines.

Together, we lift our world and everything in it.

Seasonal demand is just that - seasonal.

Warehousing, construction, agriculture, and industrial operations all face periods where equipment needs increase temporarily based on workload, project timing, or production demands.

Thatโ€™s where rentals make sense.

Leavittโ€™s rental fleet gives operations the flexibility to bring in the right equipment when demand increases - without adding permanent ownership costs for short-term needs.

Different seasons. Different equipment demands.

Downtime rarely starts with a major failure.

Most of the time, it starts with small issues that go unchecked until they turn into expensive repairs.

Thatโ€™s why planned maintenance matters.

Catching wear early helps reduce unexpected repairs, avoid unnecessary downtime, and keep equipment moving when operations are under pressure.

Forklift safety rarely comes down to one major mistake. More often, itโ€™s the result of small habits repeated over time - rushed inspections, poor visibility, excess speed, improper load handling, or missed pedestrian awareness.

The shortcuts that seem minor are often the ones that create the greatest risk.

National Forklift Safety Day is a reminder that safe operations are not built through policies or posters alone. They are built through training, awareness, and consistent habits on the floor every shift.

Hereโ€™s to the operators, trainers, technicians, and teams committed to keeping the work moving safely every day.

Not every service call happens close to the branch.

From industrial yards and plants to remote hydroelectric sites, field service means going where the equipment is to keep operations moving.

These are some of the environments our technicians work in - supporting uptime in places where delays are expensive and access is not always simple.

Safety isnโ€™t built through one meeting, one policy, or one reminder.

Itโ€™s built through the habits repeated every day:
training, awareness, communication, inspections, and looking out for the people around you.

National Safety Month is a reminder that strong safety cultures are created through consistency - on jobsites, in warehouses, in shops, and anywhere work gets done.

Because safety isnโ€™t a checklist.
Itโ€™s the culture.

Together, we lift our world and everything in it.
