AND WE"RE BACK WITH ANOTHER HIGHLIGHT!!

This is Dan,
Dan has been part of the GMES team for approximately 12 years, on and of, working with us at both our old shop and our current location. Apparently, he just can’t stay away!

A trained mechanic with a knack for fixing just about anything, Dan was recently promoted to Welding Supervisor, a well-earned role for someone whose hobby and special skill are both listed as “fixing things.” We’re beginning to see a theme here. 🛠️

Dan says his favourite parts of the job are the people and the challenges, and according to him, there’s “never a dull moment” when he’s around. His movie choices seem to support that claim: Caddyshack, Animal House, and Porky’s Revenge are among his favourites.

Congratulations on the promotion, Dan! We’re lucky to have your experience, problem-solving skills, and ability to keep things interesting on the GMES team.

Meet Lorna,
our incredible Office Manager and one of the familiar faces that's been keeping things running smoothly around here for an amazing 23 years!

If there's a number that needs crunching, a question that needs answering, or a hundred little things that need to happen to keep the office on track, Lorna is already one step ahead. She loves working with numbers, staying organized, and most of all, working with the amazing people who make up our team.
When she's not at work, you'll probably find her treasure hunting at thrift stores, adding to her miniature collections, or enjoying a classic black-and-white movie. Basically, if it's vintage, tiny, or has a great story behind it, Lorna's interested!

Basically, if you're looking for an answer, she'll point you in the right direction. 😊

🎳 Employee Spotlight: Evan 🎳
For the past 8 years, Evan has been part of the GMES team as a Welder, bringing a great attitude to work every day. In fact, when asked what his favourite part of the job is, his answer was easy: the people.
According to Evan, his co-workers are what make every day enjoyable. (We can't confirm whether they're more enjoyable than a day at the beach, but it's apparently close. 😆)
When he's off the clock, Evan spends his time camping, golfing with friends, hitting the beach, and exploring nature trails with his daughters. But one hobby stands above the rest: bowling.
Evan has been bowling for an incredible 26 years and loves the competitive side of the game. That dedication recently paid off when he represented Northern Ontario at the Canadian Open Championships in St. John's, Newfoundland, finishing in the Top 5 in Canada!
That's right, while the rest of us are celebrating a strike or two IF were lucky, Evan is out there competing against some of the best bowlers in the country.
We're proud to have such a talented teammate on the GMES crew. Congratulations on an amazing achievement, Evan, and thanks for giving us all a reason to think twice before challenging you to a friendly game of bowling! 🏆🎳
