JJJ Equipment and Repairs LTD. (JJJ) is seeking experienced, heavy equipment mechanics to join our growing company. We are seeking field mechanics for one of our site-based locations.
Candidates will be responsible for maintaining a variety of heavy equipment consisting of CAT haul trucks, Cat bulldozers, various excavators, graders, and other types of mining equipment. These positions will be filled at customer site locations surrounding Fort McMurray.
Job Description:
· Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools while using a high degree of independent judgment.
· Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner.
· Assist in the training of lower-level technicians as needed.
· Maintain daily paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner.
· Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
· Other duties assigned as needed.
These responsibilities will also include maintaining a fully tooled service truck, following company and client safe work practices and procedures, attending toolbox talks and safety meetings and filling out daily FLHAs.
Requirements Qualifications :
· Journeyman Red seal HET certification or an Alberta provincial HET certification
· Proof of trace - 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools
· A valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract.
· The ability to work alone in a field setting or as a part of a team.
· The ability to work through troubleshooting charts and read schematics.
· The experience that's needed to analyze problems and come up with safe, effective solutions in a safe manner.
· Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills
· This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of JJJ and Client’s policies.
Safety Training Requirements (pre-employment):
· CSO (Or Equivalent)
· TDG
· Drug and alcohol Testing.
Candidate will be required to completed company and client training requirements during onboarding.

Shift & Rotation: 12-hour days on 14 days on, 14 days off rotation.
