What a special morning we had today taking two truck loads full of bottles into Edmonton for the 102.3 Now! Radio bottle drive, in support of Declan and his family. The town of Drayton Valley never ceases to amaze us with the outpouring of generosity and support that it shows to families in need. Thank you to all the people that donated your bottles and thank you to the following amazing people that work with us for donating their time to help load and unload the bottles. Huge thank you to: Clyde Lorne Longmire and Steauart Sheppard for driving in the trucks today that was fantastic! Thank you to Judy May Ryan, Kirk Melanson, Shawn Eckart, Corina Maloney, Matt, Jason, Donnie, Patti and everyone that has helped us out in the last couple months, you are all amazing!!! We are very proud to be Albertans today! ❤🎗

We are in the final week of accepting donations of your empties before we bring them to the 102.3 Now! Radio studio for the Empties for Angels campaign supporting Declan! Our pile of empties is getting pretty big but we want more!! So bring your empties into our office located at 6305 54th Ave Poplar Ridge between the hours of 8am and 5pm and on Saturday morning we will load up our dump trucks and haul all the bottles in!!

PEOPLE ARE AMAZING! Today the outpouring of support from Drayton Valley and surrounding area residents helping us support the Empties for Angels campaign has been fantastic! Empties from all over - including Edmonton and Calgary - are coming in! Here's a pic of one of the many pickups that swung by today FULL of bottles! Thank you everyone! One month to go! Lets fill our dump truck!

The dream of a 6 year old boy battling Leukemia to see Chewy and Han Solo in Disneyland was severely hindered last night after a theft occurred at our Drayton Valley Office.

Willows staff arrived at the Drayton Valley Office this morning to discover the shop yard was broken into and multiple garbage bags filled with empty bottles and cans were stolen.

You see, we are collecting bottles, milk cartons, pop cans, etc in support of the Empties for Angels campaign. This campaign collects empties and turns them in for a refund to help sick kids. Right now they are collecting for a 6 year old boy named Declan. Last August Declan was diagnosed with AML, an aggressive adult form of Leukemia. It took until January to find a bone marrow match for Declan and he underwent surgery in February. The doctors are not sure if the surgery was successful and its still 50/50 at this point. The family is experiencing a rough time financially as Declan's father suffered a severe back injury a year and a half go and just started back at work when Declan was suddenly diagnosed. Ever since the family has been spending all their time with Declan at the Stollery Children's Hospital.

Our goal was, and still is, to fill a gravel truck full of bottles by April 28th. On April 29th we will drive our loaded gravel truck to one of the designated 102.3 Now! Radio drop off locations to show our support for Declan and his family.

Today, we have been set back dramatically. The staff at Willows is extremely saddened and frustrated that some thieves believed they deserved to have the bottles more than a 6 year old boy who is fighting for his life. Nevertheless we are are still determined to meet our goal but we need help from local residents now more than ever. Please help us make Declan's dream come true by bringing your empties to our office at 6305 - 54th Avenue (Poplar Ridge), Drayton Valley. These empties will be securely stored under lock and security cameras until we deliver them on April 29th.

So please, help us fill that truck!
