Fun fact: Romain, the owner of Lyon Lifts, grew up playing for Mâcon 71 (formerly UFM), a soccer club about an hour north of Lyon, France. And he’s not the only one. World Cup winner Antoine Griezmann played there as a kid too (his dad’s now the club president).

Romain moved to Canada almost 20 years ago and ended up starting his own company near Vancouver, but never forgot his roots. So when the chance came to partner with his old club and support the next generation of players, it was an easy yes, especially since they’ve got big goals, just like us. They’re aiming to climb from France’s fifth division to the third in the next few years, and we can’t wait to see how far they go!

Petite anecdote : Romain, le fondateur de Lyon Lifts, a grandi en jouant à Mâcon 71 (anciennement UFM). Et il n’est pas le seul ! Antoine Griezmann y a aussi joué dans sa jeunesse (et c’est son père, Alain, qui est président du club aujourd’hui).

Romain s’est installé au Canada il y a presque 20 ans maintenant et a fini par créer son entreprise près de Vancouver, mais il n’a jamais oublié d’où il venait. Alors, s’associer à son ancien club et soutenir la relève, c’était une évidence. Et ça tombe bien, parce que Mâcon 71 voit grand, comme nous. Actuellement en National 2, ils visent la Ligue 3 d’ici quelques saisons, et on compte bien être de l’aventure.
Bonne saison à tous les joueurs et au staff. Allez Mâcon ! ⚽

If you played Hole 12 at the ARA Golf Tournament in Acheson on September 16th, you met our rubber chicken. 🐔

Some of you threw it with real technique. Some throws were better than others. Either way, it was a lot of fun.

There's also a good reason this event matters. ARA Foundation golf tournaments have raised more than $30,000 for scholarships and training for the next generation of rental industry professionals. We're proud to support events like this.

Thank you to the ARA for a great day, and to everyone who stopped by our hole for a throw and a chat.

The chicken is already training for next year.

We. Had. The. Best. Afternoon 🙌

Gabriel Diallo was in Vancouver for the first round of the Davis Cup Qualifiers earlier this February and made time to come hang with the Lyon Lifts crew, and honestly, we still haven’t stopped talking about it. He took time out of a busy week to meet our team, sit with us, chat, and play. And that generosity says a lot about who he is.

This visit reminded us of something simple: the best partnerships aren’t built on contracts. They’re built on people who admire each other, believe in what the other is building, and back each other along the way 💙

We’ve had the chance to be in Gabriel’s corner for a few years now, and watching him go from smaller tournaments to a career-high ranking of #33 in the world, while growing as both an athlete and a person, has genuinely been one of the best things about this partnership. Moments like this are a good reminder of why it matters. It’s about shared values: hard work, showing up, and the belief that the grind is worth it.

Gabriel is one of the most exciting young tennis players in the world right now, and we’re honoured to be part of the journey.

🏉 Sunday, July 19, the open their two-game UK tour against Wales in Neath. 10am EST / 7am PST.

Back in October 2025 our team got to watch them play in Brampton, ON for the International Rugby League Women’s World Series, and created some amazing memories with the team.

We won’t be there in person for the UK games, but we will be cheering them on from here through .tv

We sell construction machinery. Not cars.

So when a Ford Explorer showed up as part of a bigger equipment deal, it didn’t really fit anywhere. We could have just sold it and moved on: that would’ve been the easy call.

Instead, we started thinking about what else we could do. That discussion led us to , owner of Country Club Autos, who also runs , a nonprofit dedicated to helping single mothers gain access to reliable transportation. Because a working car isn’t just a car. It’s getting to work on time, getting kids to school, holding a job, holding a life together.

So, we donated the Ford Explorer to Jessica, a mom of four who needed exactly that.

Sometimes opportunities come in unexpected forms.

Hole 11, longest drive with a putter. That’s us 👋 🏌

Romain Penet, Maxime Poutrain, and Dave Fournier will be at the of Canada Ontario Golf Tournament in Milton on June 17th, and no, none of them are golfers, but they can talk heavy equipment all day and cheer you on while you swing. Lyon Lifts is sponsoring the longest drive with a putter challenge, which honestly feels like our kind of challenge 😄
