We chatted with General Manager Kristina R. about her day-to-day, working with inBarn Solutions Inc. and the challenges dairy producers are facing today. Check it out below!
Q: What does your day-to-day role look like?
"I oversee the overall business operation—reports, inventory management, purchasing, and making sure the company stays organized and on track. A big part of my role is keeping the business aligned with our goals, whether that’s day-to-day operations, yearly planning, or looking ahead five years. And of course, keeping Dennis (owner) on track as well."
Q: Tell us about your relationship with inBarn.
"We’re a new dealer of inBarn products and have been very impressed, especially with the Topcool fans. They’ve been easy to work with, and product availability has been strong. Order fulfillment and scheduling have been smooth, and the purchasing process is straightforward.
We also maintain stocked inventory in California, which allows us to deliver quickly—often the next day, or at least within the same week. Timing is critical in this industry, and having multiple warehouses in California helps us meet those expectations."
Q: What are the most common challenges your team faces when servicing dairy farmers?
"One of the biggest challenges is maintaining reliable crews to keep up with demand. Finding skilled teams for installation, service, and software support for system controls can be difficult. Inventory planning is another challenge—making sure we have the right products available when customers need them. At the same time, the industry continues to face shifting market trends and changing priorities for dairy producers."
Q: How do you see the future of the dairy industry?
"The dairy industry is constantly working to become more efficient—conserving water and energy while improving productivity. Our focus is to align with that by continuing to improve our products and service.
Despite outside pressures, dairymen are resilient. They continue to adapt and push forward, and because of that, the industry will keep improving and growing." 💪
