Every building tells a story—and every survey brings us one step closer to a greener Bhutan.
Mandala Zorig is proud to serve as the local project partner for the Regulatory and Market Assessment of Green Buildings in Bhutan, a landmark initiative commissioned by The World Bank under the Strengthening Risk Information for Disaster Resilience in Bhutan project, with Design2Occupancy Services LLP (India) as the Lead Consultant.
As part of this national assignment, our team successfully completed technical field surveys of 58 buildings across Thimphu, Phuentsholing, Gasa, and Laya, covering public institutions, hospitals, schools, offices, and other building typologies.
Mandala Zorig led the field implementation, coordinating stakeholder engagement, conducting comprehensive on-site technical assessments, documenting building specifications and construction systems, and collecting energy and water performance data. This information will contribute to an evidence-based assessment of Bhutan's building sector and support the development of the country's future Green Building Code. The project encompasses building stock studies, technical surveys, market assessments, and recommendations for energy- and water-efficient building regulations.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the government agencies, institutions, building owners, facility managers, and local stakeholders whose support and cooperation made this important milestone possible.
We are honored to contribute our local expertise to a project that will help shape a more sustainable, resilient, and resource-efficient built environment for Bhutan.
Mandala Zorig. We Care.
