One of Pink Floyd's key 1967 shows took place today. The Games For May concert at the Queen Elizabeth Hall included the first quadraphonic sound system used in a live setting, a man dressed as an admiral giving out daffodils, the band chopping wood on stage, and bubbles generated from a machine during the show (which ended up staining all the furniture in the hall - resulting in a ban for the group from this venue). This picture shows the band during rehearsals.

Pink Floyd played the second of five sold out nights at the Memorial Sports Arena in Los Angeles, California on this day, 1975. The set list included Raving And Drooling (an early version of Sheep), You've Got To Be Crazy (an early version of Dogs), Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Have A Cigar, The Dark Side Of The Moon (the entire album) and Echoes.
