Two Types Of Pulley Systems Used In Elevators: A Fixed Pulley And A Movable Pulley, Each Demonstrating Different Principles Of Mechanical Advantage.

Mechanism The pulley remains stationary while the rope moves over it. The pulley itself moves along the rope.
Key Concepts✅
Fixed Pulley: This system is used when you need to pull down to lift an object up. It does not reduce the effort required, but it can make lifting easier by allowing you to use your body weight.
Movable Pulley: This system distributes the weight of the load across two segments of rope. Each segment supports half the weight, thereby cutting the required effort in half.
Compound Systems: Many real-world elevators use a "block and tackle" system, which combines multiple fixed and movable pulleys to lift very heavy loads with even less effort
