Jarrah logs have arrived

Hi everyone,

We have a few pieces of exciting news to share.

Firstly, our extended milling hours have been approved by the Shire, along with approval for two new storage sheds for milled timber.

We are really excited about this. We love milling, and it will be great to have the capacity to take on more projects.

We have also sourced a large amount of Jarrah logs through the Forest Products Commission. These logs are now available for custom milling orders.

Kiln drying and machining in Busselton can also be arranged.

We will be able to supply:

Decking

Cladding

Posts

Rafters

Beams

Battens

Garden sleepers

And most other custom timber products

Jarrah is still an incredibly important timber for many projects, especially where durability and strength are needed. We will continue looking for more Jarrah logs to salvage and recover, while also sourcing plantation alternatives such as Rose Gum / Red Grandis wherever possible.

Thank you again for all the support. It has been a lot of fun milling interesting timber for so many great people, and we are really looking forward to continuing this work.

All the best,

Rob Haselhurst

If a tree falls in the forest…
We want to hear about it.

On stormy days like this, our team can’t help but think about the logs that will either end up in burn piles or as milled timber for furniture and buildings.

If you are in need of timber (or want to diversify your investments), we are set up to either mill/slab the logs on-site (we can also do land cleanup, firewood splitting/sawing, etc.) or pick up the logs with our 4-ton hiab truck to mill from our yard in Forest Grove.

We are also interested in purchasing logs if they are milling-grade logs or picking up lower-grade logs for free.

Stay safe,
Rob

We have been milling a lot of timber lately! And with that comes sawdust, offcuts, recovery sizes and more timber than I thought I could ever produce.

We have been really busy getting organised for the last few months but we are finally ready to take on more jobs such as:

Mobile Milling
Custom milling
Log pick up for milling at our yard (We also have logs available for purchase)
Furniture, bench tops and custom timber art projects (we are making a single log bath right now)
Firewood pickup and delivery (cheap mill offcuts are available as well as standard firewood)
Sawdust pickup and delivery
Bush poles
Posts
Garden sleepers
Untreated pine (cheapest option. Hourly milling can also be very affordable in hardwoods)
Custom slabbing (up to 1.6m x 8 m logs)

Please get in touch for more information

Thank you

Our latest Mobile Mill job milling the 1.6 meter diameter marri log and the subsequent 4 logs from my last post (The photos don't really give the true size of these pieces.)

We ended up with over 50 slabs That would be suitable for tables when dry (Hopefully a few made by our team here)

Well done and thank you to everyone involved.

Our next Mobile Milling operation ready to go, and lucky thing as the white ants were just getting into the bark.
The tree has a diameter of 1.6 meters at the base and 1.1 meters at the top. We sectioned it into 2 x 3.2 m, 2x 4.2 m and 1x 2m logs)
Beautiful work by our arborist Darby cutting these logs up safely and efficiently. It's always a pleasure to watch him do his thing.

Beautiful work by MRRC- Margaret River Rural Contractors using our Southern Mahogany.

Where does our firewood come from?

This is a tree from our southern mahogany Plantation (planted by my mom Laurie) being harvested by me (Rob) 32 years later.
