Making an entrance // This elegant private residence in Altona, Victoria features both concrete terrazzo tiles and Ever Art Wood timber look aluminium cladding. ⁠⠀

A timber-look aluminium hollow section, Koshi battens resemble timber battens and are installed like timber battens. However, like all our other Ever Art Wood products, have the added benefits of virtually zero maintenance, are dimensionally accurate, and fire rated.⁠⠀

Swipe to take a look around... timber look batten detailing at the entry of The Hunter in Double Bay by ⁠_group⁠. The rich brown, 2 section timber look battens have been incorporated throughout the entry in two differing profiles to suit the application. Fixed directly to the substrate with no visible rails or fixings, the 30x50 battens shown here envelope the curved base of the entry feature and add another layer of texture to the space. ⁠⠀

Recent Project // Golden Plains Community and Civic Centre in Bannockburn, Victoria. ⁠⠀
⁠⠀
Designed by Baumgart Clark Architects, this project encompassed the design of new Council offices and a range of community facilities, including meeting rooms and a new Council Chamber. ⁠⠀
⁠⠀
While incorporating elements of genuine timber throughout the design - for these external elements including the timber look facade, soffits and screening, Baumgart Clark opted for more durable and low maintenance Ever Art Wood cladding. Ever Art Wood Express Panels were also used to create a rich and beautiful timber look ceiling feature within the facility. ⁠⠀

Up close // A key requirement for this timber look facade for Aldi Norwood in SA was a durable and sturdy batten system, with easy installation. After a "disastrous" experience with another product during a previous project, Paul Clohesy, Senior Architect at Select and his team did extensive research before opting for Ever Art Wood. The Mizotsuki batten and bolt fix system addressed Select's requirements, while achieving the intended aesthetic of timber.⁠⠀
⁠⠀
A concealed fix system, Mizotsuki battens also allowed Select to achieve a perfectly flat and smooth surface. The Mizotsuki batten incorporates a full length channel along the backside to which a bolt is fed through and affixed to an 'L' bracket. The 'L' bracket can be fixed directly to a structure or posts.⁠ ⁠⠀
