Recycling is widely known and embraced by industries for its environmental impacts and its ability to stimulate an economy.

Consumers alike are well aware of recycling as we are introduced to this topic from a very young age. However, when it comes to remanufacturing, the benefits are largely unknown.

Arguably, remanufacturing is simply unheard of in comparison to recycling. Both recycling and remanufacturing are important programs in the step-change to a circular economy.

The Original Engines Co. Distribution Centre – Continuing to invest in our future.

As is the case in any business that focuses on good customer service, looks after its team members and follows sound processes, here at Original Engines Co we’ve been experiencing sustained growth through our ongoing mission to provide the best remanufactured engines across Australia.

With growth, however, comes a need to continually adapt to change and look at better ways to conduct business. As such, we recently expanded our physical footprint to include a dedicated Distribution Centre to house our engine cores, the engines that have been remanufactured and waiting for delivery back to dealers, and our large stock holding of genuine parts for the remanufacturing process.

At Original Engines Co we believe that our ongoing success is solely attributed to our fantastic team. We are very fortunate to have exceptional people who care about the work they do each and every day.

We try to celebrate this effort as often as possible, and recently decided to change up a Friday with a fun activity and guest speaker, at a local venue!

Sam and his team, from Uplift Events vents, held a “Your Generation” Game Show exclusively for us.

We also heard from keynote speaker Mark Carter who is internationally recognised for his inspirational speeches and training skills.

Inspired by the successful completion of a co-worker’s apprenticeship, we are pleased to announce that Matilda, who recently joined Original Engines Co., has signed up to do a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade at TAFE Gippsland.

Matilda started with Original Engines Co in May 2023 where she recognised the opportunities available within the company to increase her knowledge, and gain a qualification to back up her experience. We couldn’t be happier to help Matilda on her way to building up her knowledge of automotive engineering and engine remanufacturing.

She has a love and passion for cars, and we wish Matilda all the best with her Apprenticeship.

Duties Include:

- Cleaning and preparing engine tubs for dispatching engines
- Soda blasting engine components
- Cleaning of all engine parts –including ultra sonic, hot tank and wash tanks
- Assistance in the dismantle of engines and cylinder heads
- General duties when requested

Our company is engaged in a global engine remanufacturing program for one of the major car brands and are restructuring for expansion. This makes for exciting times and great employment opportunities within our company.

We believe that our success is due to the professionalism and commitment of our staff, quality of our product and a high standard of detail within our processes.

Candidates require:

- A keenness to work in a mechanical engineering environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Open to learning new skills and complementing existing skills
- Ability to work to meet deadlines
