The theme, “All In”, is a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day.

It recognises that reconciliation is not a passive activity or the responsibility of First Nations peoples alone. It requires all of us to step forward, take action and work together to create meaningful change.

Last week our team faced the weather and attended the HUME Community Housing Reconciliation BBQ on Wonnarua Country in Maitland.

As we continue our reconciliation journey and look ahead to the launch of our Innovate RAP in June 2026, we’re also seeking to deepen our understanding through story and lived experience.

Often with a transformer that's suffered a catastrophic failure, you can smell it before you see it.

We asked Brett Paul, Ampcontrol's Service Delivery Manager - Transformers, 'What was your most challenging overhaul?'

Done right, overhauls mean less downtime, lower cost, and reduced risk.

Real change is key to sustainability progress. We believe transparency in Ampcontrol's sustainability progress makes us accountable.

Starting with a recap of our Sustainability Statement FY25, we are making an effort to share our progress and goals across our platforms.

This year, we continued to make some really positive advancement on our sustainability goals.

Some key highlights included reaching a cumulative carbon emissions reduction of 48.9% from our baseline FY19/20 and seeing the completion of our stage 1 Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) as we transition into stage 2, the Innovate stage of change implementation.

While we are excited by the real progress we have made, we are not stopping here as we continue towards our target of net zero emissions by 2040.

Take a look at the highlights below 👇

Meet Rod Michell, our Estimator - Lead for Power and Infrastructure who celebrated 40 years with Ampcontrol last week.

Starting as an Electrical Apprentice on the workshop floor, Rod has grown alongside Ampcontrol over the last 4 decades.

From circling his way through the Tomago sites and becoming a valuable member of the Ampcontrol community, through to meeting his wife (pictured) of 30 years, Nerissa.

“It’s definitely been an interesting journey. There have been many challenges and changes over the years. I’ve made some great connections, had some awesome mentors, and made lifelong friendships along the way. I couldn’t have done it without the love and support of my family and the people I work closely with every day.”
- Rod

Thank you for all your hard work over the last 40 years Rod!
