I needed a Bossing mallet for some aluminium panels I need to make. With the local supplier no longer selling them I looked around the shed and realised I had enough materials to make my own, so I did exactly that.
Now I have a heavy duty bossing mallet my trusty heavy boilermakers steel ball pein can return to the rack for a while.
Looking forward to some metal shaping adventures ahead. 😁✌️

Today was enjoyable as I finished off and assembled the seats for my ‘54 VW.
I made the seat frames along with the adjustable frame bases from steel tubing. I then covered the frames with aluminium sheet and gave them a polish with the world’s best “Briliant Polish”. At a later stage I will add some upholstered removable covers for a bit of comfort.
